Terry Boston is the former President and CEO of PJM Interconnection, the largest power grid in North America and the largest electricity market in the world. Over eight years as CEO, he grew the business from $26 billion to $50.3 billion a year and implemented one of the nation's five HVDC lines.

Before PJM, he spent 35 years at the Tennessee Valley Authority, the nation's largest public power provider, rising to Executive Vice President. He was one of eight industry experts selected to direct NERC's investigation into the 2003 Northeast blackout, and twenty years later published the IEEE paper on its lessons. He is a founder and first Board Chair of the North American Transmission Forum, a past Board Chair of GO15 - the global consortium of grid operators serving more than 3.4 billion people - the 130th President of the Association of Edison Illuminating Companies, and a former U.S. Vice President of CIGRE.

In 2014 he was elected by his peers to the National Academy of Engineering, one of the highest honors in the profession. He is a 2017 U.S. Presidential appointee to the National Infrastructure Advisory Council, where he served four years, and was appointed by the White House to the transformation advisory council for Puerto Rico's electric power authority after Hurricanes Irma and Maria. His awards include the IEEE Power & Energy Society Leadership in Power Award and the Platts Global Energy Lifetime Achievement Award. He holds a BS in engineering from Tennessee Technological University and an MS in engineering administration from the University of Tennessee.
